Allow comments on Friends' status updates/pictures

One of the primary ways my friends and I use Facebook is by commenting on each others status updates. It often turns into something similar to a long email thread among a number of people. Getting notifications that someone has commented on a Friends' status after one of your own comments so you can go back and keep the conversation going would be really useful as well. The same idea holds true for pictures.

Thank you for your proposals. Unfortunately, Facebook does not provide APIs for developers to do get comments on status change or picture upload. Such features probably exist for internal usage but they are not available for us.
